The Looming Reversal of Centralization

"Centralization induces apoplexy at the center and anemia at the extremities." ~ Lamenais

The present political system is clearly insane. It suffers from schizophrenia. Around the world, almost no one trusts the politicians, yet almost everyone votes for incumbent politicians who promise to reform the government.

For those of us who dread the centralization of anything, our boats have begun to come in.

No ship will come in. Its model is the Titanic.

What the Heck is Happening with the Metals? I interviewed David Morgan about the Smashing of Metals and People's Emotional Investment of it.

I questioned David Morgan of Silver-Investor.com and The Morgan Report on May 15th 2012.

This is not your "normal" metals interview - it is about the emotional value people put on the investments of metals and how the bankers are working on the psychological part to stop people from investing in metals.

Power Players in Jeopardy!

The propaganda machine, in a desperate attempt to regain some small measure of credibility, employed an interesting technique this week, Jeopardy! Power Players. All this week the number one game show in the United States featured contestants drawn from the ranks of the mainstream propagandists. This little blitz was carefully orchestrated with clips of the Jeopardy! contest appearing on CNN, MSNBC, and FOX.

These propagandists are being billed by Jeopardy! literally as those who shape the thinking of the American public and every effort was made to portray them as intellectuals. However the questions for the contest were at a high school level and even at that, many of the contestants, like Chris Matthews, embarrassed themselves as their lack of any real intelligence became undeniable.

Are Americans Catching On, Waking Up, Unplugging? by Paul Craig Roberts

In response to the question in the title I can report that most of my readers are. Almost everyone got the point of the last column. They see the absurdity of the government’s claim that the identity of the tough, macho Navy Seals, who allegedly murdered Osama bin Laden, has to be kept secret in order to protect our fierce warriors from reprisals from Muslim terrorists, while those government officials responsible for the torture and deaths of large numbers of Muslims can walk around, identity known, unprotected and safe.

Barack Obama Is The First United Nations President

Obama was not born in America.

"In our globalist existence, the authority for the US to initiate hostilities against another country comes from the UN, declared Obama and Panetta. If the executive branch can persuade or bribe the UN to give a war OK, Congress is no longer relevant." - Paul Craig Roberts, "Are Americans Catching On, Waking Up, Unplugging?"

President Barack Obama has continued the secret policy of destroying the sovereignty and wealth of the United States to the benefit of the private transnational interests who control the United Nations, the CIA, Wall Street, and the global banking system. Numerous American presidents, both Republican and Democrat, are on board with this treasonous political agenda.

Obama is not an "American" president; he is a United Nations president.

Engineered Austerity Coming to America Starting with the Post Office

Brandon Turbeville
Activist Post

Over the past few months, the dismal financial state of the United States Postal Service has been the subject of much derision and contempt in the mainstream media. The massive debt held by the USPS has been the bloody sheet waived by both reactionary Republicans and Wall Street Democrats in order to justify the privatization or even the elimination of such an important service from oversight and administration by the Federal government.

The large debt held by USPS, coupled with exaggerations of wait times and other aspects involved in shipping services, are constantly highlighted as the latest example of how “government is incapable of running anything effectively.” The general public is then subjected to a barrage of “free market” solutions which are, as is almost always the case, nothing more than the fleecing of the taxpayer who will inevitably end up paying more and receiving less while benefiting crony corporations...

First private space mission aborted

The scheduled launch of a private rocket from the Cape Canaveral space centre in Florida has been dramatically aborted at the last second apparently due to a possible problem with one of the rocket's engines.

SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket was due to launch on Saturday, sending its Dragon capsule on a mission to the International Space Station which would have marked the end of NASA's decades-long dominance industry and and the debut for commercial space operators.

But the rocket failed to lift off as the countdown reached zero.

Frantic Civilian Tweets Map Out US Drone Strikes in Yemen

A US drone’s missiles had just slammed into a convoy of vehicles in a remote part of Yemen, killing three alleged militants.

The attack – like all other US drone strikes outside warzones – was supposed to be clandestine. Yet within minutes Sanaa-based lawyer Haykal Bafana was reporting the strike in almost-realtime.

Hollande vows to pull from Afghanistan this year

Washington •French President Francois Hollande said Friday he would carry out his pledge to withdraw combat forces from Afghanistan by year’s end, two years earlier than the U.S. ally once planned. He made the declaration to President Barack Obama in the Oval Office.

Speaking after the White House meeting, Hollande said he stands by a campaign promise to withdraw troops, but said France will keep supporting Afghanistan in a "different way." The war, more than a decade old, draws even less public support in France than in the United States.

The New Hampshire House of Representatives voted to ban UN Agenda 21 polices.

ICLEI is a UN agency that provides “local” community plans, software and training to towns and cities that pay their dues.

NH is not the only state to pass anti-Agenda 21 legislation...

Banks spend big to prop up Facebook shares on first day of trading

It was another Wall Street bailout — but this time the banks had to cough up the cash.

Facebook’s underwriters propped up the social-network’s trading debut yesterday, as the shares threatened to crash through the initial public offering price of $38.

The banks working on the massive $16 billion IPO, including Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs, did their duty by buying up large blocks of Facebook stock toward the end of the day to support the price.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is looking more and more like a classic Wall Street "Bump and dump" scam. Facebook's revenues simply do not support the dividends on an $80 billion IPO. Coupled with the heavy press push over the last week, this looked less like a long term investment opportunity and more like a get rich quick scheme by the insiders. The plan was to buzz up interest in Facebook, push the price up as high as $100 a share, then the insiders would all sell at once, reaping a fortune. The price would plunge and the late-comers (aka the suckers) take the losses.

Facebook Class Action Lawsuit Seeks $15 Billion for Privacy Violations

A class action lawsuit filed against Facebook in California is seeking a whopping $15 billion in damages for privacy violations tied to the tracking of Web users.

The suit, which was filed by law firm Stewarts Law US, combines 21 privacy lawsuits filed against the social network in more than a dozen states into a single legal action. The case stems from accusations made in September 2011 that Facebook tracks user activity even after people have left the site.

According to Stewarts Law, the $15 billion figure was arrived at using statutory damages set by the federal Wiretap Act, which allows for damages of $100 per day per violation for each user, up to a maximum of $10,000. The lawsuit also claims Facebook violated the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, the Stored Communications Act, various California statutes and California common law.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All those Wall Street banks that bought huge blocks of Facebook stock to prop up the price on Friday, including Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs, are going to have a really bad Monday! This will be strike two for JPMorgan Chase!

Patriot Act Memo Will Stay Under Wraps

MANHATTAN (CN) - New York Times reporter Charlie Savage has lost his effort to expose the U.S. government's secret interpretation of a section of the Patriot Act, a federal judge ruled.

Meanwhile, the dismissal marks the second time that a Manhattan federal judge turned down Savage's attempts to unearth information about national security policies that have troubled civil libertarians.
Last November, U.S. District Judge Robert Patterson snuffed requests for the Federal Bureau of Investigation to break down how many of its inquiries looked into criminal activity versus national security threats.

House Passes Stealth Legislation

The House bill basically provides Israel with a blank check drawn on the U.S. taxpayer to maintain its “qualitative military edge” over all of its neighbors combined. It requires the White House to prepare an annual report on how that superiority is being maintained. The resolution passed on May 9 by a vote of 411–2 on a “suspension of the rules,” which is intended for non-controversial legislation requiring little debate and a quick vote.

Paul supporters dominate state GOP convention, back Kurt Bills

Four years ago, Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul got the cold shoulder at the Minnesota GOP convention, as he was denied a speaking slot and relegated to a nearby park to address supporters.

How times have changed.

The libertarian Texas congressman found a raucous and receptive audience for his message of personal liberty and curbing the scope of government when he addressed the state convention Friday night, May 18, in St. Cloud.

Paul isn't actively campaigning for the party's presidential nomination, but you wouldn't have been able to tell that from the raucous applause and chants of "President Paul! President Paul!" as he delivered his speech.

Student Says Holocaust Lesson Went Too Far

AMARILLO, Texas (CN) - A teenager says in Federal Court that he was seriously injured when he was required to role-play as a Jew while taking orders from students in the role of Nazis during an educational exercise about the Holocaust.

"Engaging in this exercise was compulsory, with it constituting 60% of a major test grade for students in their World History Class, and any student who did not do everything they were told were receive a failing grade."

Yara said he was forced to carry three different students to class during the span of one passing period, resulting in severe back injuries that required several medical procedures.
One student who demanded Yara carry him was 170 pounds, while Yara weighed 100 pounds at the time. Another classmate later jumped onto Yara's back while he was still carrying the other student, resulting in a "shocking, burning" pain to shoot down both of Yara's legs from his pelvis, according to the complaint.

Israel's Nuclear, BiologicalAnd Chemical Weapons

In 2006, former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told Germany's Sat. 1 channel:

"Iran, openly, explicitly and publicly, threatens to wipe Israel off the map. Can you say that this is the same level, when they are aspiring to have nuclear weapons, as America, France, Israel and Russia?"

Later he denied what viewers clearly heard him say. Calls for him to step down followed. So did accusations of ineptitude for acknowledging Israeli nuclear weapons publicly.

White House taps private sector to help feed world's hungry

The corporate funding under the food initiative will be partly from African companies, with just under half of the investments coming from businesses there and the rest from other companies around the world, according to the White House. The program's goal is to promote sustainable agriculture and remove 50 million people from poverty during the next decade.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Obama's hypocrisy doesn't get more obvious. He wants to encourage small farmers to grow their on food? What a joke! All across America small farm co-ops are under attack because they threaten the profits of the big supermarket corporations. In Nevada, the "Farm to fork" organic food picnic was raided and bleach poured all over the food so that it could not even be fed to the pigs! In California, which supposedly is suffering a $16 billion budget deficit, they still have money for the "Food Cops" to do door to door confiscations of raw dairy products from small farms, because those are a threat to the profits of big commercial diary factories. So government crushes the small farmers and then Obama campaigns that he will take the pressure off if elected.

Last night my wife and I were volunteers at a local food pantry handing out food the the homeless and to people whose food stamps run out before the end of the month. I got to look the results of government food and economic policy in the eyes and if you have the courage to do the same you will come to know as I do that the very best thing Obama and the Federal Government can do for We The People is to GO AWAY AND STOP MESSING WITH OUR LIVES!

Artificial Sweeteners Linked with Preterm Delivery

Mike Barrett
Activist Post

Sugar sweetened beverages such as sodas have received a wide-scale bad reputation for their negative impact on health. All the while, diet sodas are falsely promoted as a healthier alternative. But artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, used in diet soda, have also been tied to numerous health complications, with one study linking artificial sweeteners to premature delivery.

Although some attest to the safety of artificial sweeteners like aspartame, these sweeteners have actually been shown to cause considerable harm.

The study looking at the relationship between soft drink consumption and pregnancy outcome found that preterm delivery risk rises 38 percent for pregnant women having 1 or more servings of artificially sweetened drinks per day. What’s more, consuming 4 or more servings daily was associated with an increased risk of 78 percent...

UK Government Uses Digital Communications Data to Spy on Their Citizens

Susanne Posel, Contributor
Activist Post

The UK Home Office (UKHO) has British officials surveying its citizens as part of the government’s annual legislative program.

This is an extensive expansion of the current laws to allow the MI5 data securitization.

UKHO claims they are not snooping through private emails and messages, but rather deciphering where the communications are originating from, who sent it, its length and format.

The 4 billion hours of phone calls, 1 million emails and 130 billion text messages that are expected to be prime source information.

The proposed bill, if passed would place massive amounts of personal data into the hands of the British government. How they use that data is purely at their discretion...
